An explanation of the information provided for each file: name, chapter reference, and description. Filenames highlighted in blue indicate that the files are encapsulations of underlying packages or programs ( Chapter 1, Introduction explains encapsulation.) The displayed information also explains the meaning of the various file extensions (e.g., spp, sp, sql ).

Source Code Index by Filename

The guide fives you point-and-click access to each of the files on the companion disk. Here the files are listed alphabetically. Source code listings in the book begin with comment lines keyed to these filenames on the disk. Figure A.3 shows a portion of the Source Code Index by Filename.
